Taxonomy can be uploaded directly from the app to the term store as a term set so that it can be used as managed metadata to classify information.
Note: The following conditions must be satisfied before the taxonomy can be uploaded to the Term Store.
The taxonomy is in the published state.
The request to allow Taxonomy App to manage the Term Store is approved.
The user who is executing the upload must be a Term Store Admin.
1. Navigate to the Taxonomy Dashboard.
The Taxonomy Dashboard page is displayed.
2. Click the icon on the row of the taxonomy you wish to view the history.
A dropdown list is displayed.
3. Click Upload to Term Store.
The Upload to Term Store dialog is displayed.
You can choose to create a new Term Group to upload the taxonomy or add to an existing term group.
In the following example, we are uploading the taxonomy to an existing term group. You can follow similar steps to creating a new term group.
4. Click the option Add to exiting term group.
The dropdown list is enabled.
5. Select the term group you wish to add the taxonomy from the Existing term group dropdown list.
6. Click Upload.
The Success dialog is displayed.
7. Click OK on the dialog.
The taxonomy is uploaded to the term store.
