During the creation of the taxonomy you need to decide on the level of granularity of the taxonomy. What usually dictates the level of granularity is the type of content you want to classify, how the classification will be used to retrieve content either in searches or for retention and disposition process.
Once the decision is made and the taxonomy is created, depending on the selected level of details you can start adding the different taxonomy levels. Possible levels of taxonomy are Function, Sub-Function, and Business Process.
1. Click the name of the taxonomy in the Taxonomy Dashboard page to access the taxonomy details and start adding the different levels of taxonomy.
The taxonomy details page is displayed.
2. Select the kabab menu of the item under which you want to add a level, and select Add new, e.g. Add New Function
3. Complete the form and click Save
