Restore a Previous Version of a Taxonomy

The taxonomy app lets you restore a previous version of a taxonomy whenever you need it.


Notes:  

  • Only users with Approver role can restore a previous version of a taxonomy.
  • You can restore a version of a taxonomy only when the current version state is Published.
  • When a version is restored as the current version, is is automatically set to draft.


1.  Open the Version History window of the taxonomy for which you wish to restore a previous version. For more information, refer to View Taxonomy Version History.


The Version History dialog is displayed showing the versions you have access to based on your role. Users with Read only access can only see published versions. Archived versions are only viewable by the Administrator.



2.  Select the action menu of the version you want to restore.


3.  Click Restore.


The Restore Version dialog is displayed.


4.  Click Restore As Minor or Restore As Major.


The taxonomy version is restored as your current version and a Success message is displayed.



5. Click OK, the Version History window is refreshed to include the newly added version.
